Hand woven from Abaca fibre, a by-product of banana farming, it’s detailed with a circular patch of our vegan alternative to animal leather – perforated with our circular, moniker logo and whipstitched to the centre. Sustainability
Abaca is a fully circular, raffia-like material made from locally bought banana fibres. Banana sterns are a by- product of banana farming often left to rot in the soil. producing toxic emissions. Zaida Solutions buys these sterns from small scale farmers, extracting the fibres, drying them and producing Abaca. Our innovative Alter Mat is a vegan alternative to animal leather.
Product Care & Fit Advice
Do not wash or clean. Avoid scrubbing to prevent damaging the surface of the bag. As this accessory is made from very delicate material, we recommend handling with care and avoiding contact with any sharp objects, jewellery or rough surfaces. When not in use, always store the item in its protective bag.
