The European Union currently prohibits more than 1,600 ingredients in cosmetic products. We have decided to exclude an additional list of 370 – exceeding EU regulations. We also banned ingredients that we consider to be polluting, such as silicones, acrylates, sulphates, petrochemical olefins, ethoxylated and propoxylated compounds, aluminium derivatives and PVP. 

Each formulation is designed to work in harmony with the skin, supporting its key functions of regeneration and protection, and ensuring ‘skin sustainability™’– our STELLA promise of skin vitality, now and tomorrow. STELLA is housed in innovative refillable packaging, minimising its impact on Mother Earth. 

STELLA uses only consciously selected active vegan ingredients. Our formulas are certified by the Vegan Society and are approved by the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny Programme. 

Based on Stella’s personal philosophy of using ‘only what you need’, the range consists of three essential and refillable products: Reset Cleanser, Alter-Care Serum and Restore Cream. 

The Ingredients

STELLA’s formulas centre around active, natural-origin extracts to deliver clinically proven results:

• Organic Rock Samphire offers a retinol-like action. It is rich in unsaturated and saturated fatty acids and phytosterols to smooth fine lines and wrinkles
• Biotechnological Lingonberry Extract is a superfood skincare ingredient with polyphenols to help restore an even complexion and support elasticity and visible firmness
• Wild Organic Birch Sap helps to hydrate and restore visible firmness with minerals, sugars and vitamin C
• Wild Harvested Dulse Algae Extract is rich in polysaccharides and helps to reduce the appearance of dark circles and restore an even skin tone
• Olive Squalane is naturally derived and helps to reinforce the skin’s protective barrier
• Natural-origin Hyaluronic Acid is a renowned hydrator that locks in moisture for smoother, plumper-looking skin
• Cherry Blossom Extract is bursting with polyphenols and glucosides which help to restore even skin while supporting the skin barrier.



Our ingredients are 85% traceable down to the country of harvest, and 15% traceable down to the continent. The long-term goal is to trace 100% to the country of harvest. 

The Refillable Packaging

Packaging can represent up to 50% of the impact of a luxury skincare product. Through STELLA, we have committed to consciously reducing this by reinventing product refills – reducing the environmental impact by at least a third.  

Our reusable bottle is crafted using recycled glass, along with a reusable pump kit that includes recycled social plastic® from Plastic Bank, and an airless pump to ensure every last drop can be used. Our boxes are made from 100% FSC-certified paper that can also be recycled. Additionally, our bottles and pumps can be easily disassembled and be recycled at the end of their lives.  

We also developed exclusive, super-light and soft refills for our Alter-Care Serum and Restore Cream. These are made from recyclable and certified renewable sources – predominantly from wood waste using the mass balance principle. 

When using the refill inside the glass packaging, the first refill lowers the product’s environmental impact by a third; the second refill lowers the impact by half. When the refill is used on its own, the impact on climate change is two-thirds lower.
