Over the last 93 years, Minnie Mouse has become one of the world’s most beloved symbols of femininity – immediately recognisable for her red-and-white polka dot dress. While her look is indisputably iconic, Stella has evolved it into a new navy pantsuit that the legendary Disney mouse will wear to our Winter 2022 show at Paris Fashion Week and for the month of March at Disneyland Paris. The partnership is also immortalised by a limited-edition organic cotton t-shirt featuring Minnie in her new suit, designed specifically for International Women’s Day.
Minnie Mouse’s new custom pantsuit was created in celebration of Women’s History Month and Disneyland Paris’ 30th Anniversary, crafted from traceable and regenerative wool. Embodying our signature Savile Row tailoring, the look is a statement for womanhood, progress and responsible fashion for a new generation. It also marks the first in a series of collaborations between Stella and Disney, including the upcoming Stella Shared unisex capsule – launching April 2022.
I love that Minnie’s pantsuit has inspired global conversations. Huge thanks to Disney for having the confidence to let me dress her in this female-designed and empowered look to honour the 30th Anniversary of Disneyland Paris.
