Inspired by vintage runners, the neat, sleek upper silhouette is handcrafted from panels of hemp alongside our vegan, cruelty-free alternative to patent animal leather made using recycled fibers and resting upon a lightweight, supportive recycled rubber sole. Winter 2024 is a message from Mother Earth. It's a collection and an advocation, embodying my role, and my brand's role, as a voice for the planet.
Sustainability
This post- and pre-consumer recycled polyester uses preloved textiles and industrial waste, reducing our use of virgin materials, preventing waste from entering landfills, incinerators and oceans, and limiting the use of virgin fossil fuel-based fibers. The upper is made with an engineered recycled polyester knit, combined with recycled alter suede details for strength. The tongue and lining are made from sustainable hemp and the black label is spun from organic cotton. The softness and flexibility of the shoe come from a vulcanized sole, made with recycled rubber.
